RHYME ASYLUM- SOLITARY CONFINEMENT

SOLITARY CONFINEMENT OUT NOW!!!!

AFTER A SPECIAL SHOW AT THE SOUL CELLAR RHYME ASYLUM LAUNCHED THEIR SECOND ALBUM..

WWW.RHYMEASYLUM.COM (CHECK OUT THE INCREDIBLE ARTWORK IN THE GALLERY SECTION, TRUST ME!)

The second instalment from Rhyme Asylum, this self-released album features, amongst others, US underground veterans Ill Bill (La Coka Nostra/Non-Phixion) and Crooked I (Slaughterhouse).

Eighteen tracks and no skits, the full length LP features production from Al’Tarba, Chemo, The Returners, Engineer, Hirolla, Think, Profound and Ill Fated; plus verses from New York emcee DarkStar and RA affiliate Reain.

The album art features photography from the incredibly talented RomanyWG. The photographer/Urbexer (Urban Explorer) produces phenomenal images in abandoned buildings across the world. During the album photo shoot, he captured shots of the group members inside a real, abandoned padded cell!

Like many other hip-hop outfits across the world, Rhyme Asylum are currently a totally independent venture. Aside from its obvious asylum-themed connotations, the title: ‘Solitary Confinement’ was intended as a metaphor for their independent, unsigned status. The group wanted to raise awareness of the difficulty of financing and self-releasing a project; emphasizing the importance of a loyal and supportive fan base. For without it there is no way the music can continue to grow…

DONT FLOP, Blood in the water 2

So Saturday i eagerly bowled over to Brick Lane for Dont Flop "Blood in The Water 2"
The last one was sick even though Saurus didn't turn up, and this time the line up was sicker with some eye brow raising inclusion from the likes of Verb T & Jack Flash. For me it was all about supporting the home clan as Tenchoo took on the highly rated US battle MC Hindurock. Of course i aint saying shit all else cos it's on you lot to watch the footage when it gets uploaded so join the Dont Flop movement check out www.dontflop.com.

The outside courtyard at Vibe bar is perfect for the event. You can jam out there in between battles, eat from the jerk bbq, drink, cypher and if you get caught bunning jays they just ask you to stand out the gate and finish it before you come back in.

Here is a couple of shots of Tenchoo in action.

Massive shout outs to Eurgh, Cruger and all the heads involved making these events happen!!
